So this weekend, we decided we'd had enough of the rain (the last two weeks it had been lovely in the week and then rainy all weekend!) and being in a city, and so we packed our car for a night away camping. We headed to Whangaparoa peninsula, which is 40 mins north of Auckland and stayed at the campsite within Shakespear (they spell things SO badly in New Zealand) Point regional park.

Cabbage trees and other NZ bushes!

The water was just so fresh - fatty here really enjoyed it (so did the baby apparently). Baby O is 31 weeks!!!

We camped beside this beach.

Phil heading off on the walk around the point.....he is a true kiwi, always barefoot in the summer.

This is the north side of Rangitoto volcano in the distance. We can see the south side from our beach at Mission Bay.

Us....fairly chilled two months before baby O arrives!

The amazing greens and blues of summertime NZ .

Phil...with Auckland CBD just near his right ear.

Arty!
